The Future of Life

In Proverbs 29:18 we see that when no vision exists the people starve. At Life Church, we want to keep our family well fed with the vision that God has placed in our hearts. Our vision is to see spiritual growth occur among our family members and also to see the size of our family grow. To see this fulfilled, we are in need of a much larger physical plant than what we currently have. Life Academy is also in desperate need of more classroom space.

In early 2007, God answered these needs by placing a vision in the hearts of our leaders for an updated, expanded property. God began to reveal His plan through our visionary leadership team, our architect and our construction team. A plan was devised for a complete overhaul of the current Troy Webb Family Life Center and an addition of a multi-story connection between the two existing buildings. This plan was then brought before the family at Life Church and was received into action with an overwhelming majority.

On May 24, 2007 Life Church hosted a dinner in the Crystal Ball Room at the Hotel Roanoke for its family to celebrate the Future of Life. At this event, over $1,000,000.00 was pledged to be given over a three-year period to build and pay for the new Expansion & Growth project. Construction began on May 15, 2007 and Phase 1 was completed in September 2007. Phase 2 was completed in March 2008. Big thanks to Blake Construction of VA, Inc. for building a quality facility for us...on budget, on time!!

The Future of Life has been divided into two phases:

Phase 1 - Interior of the Troy Webb Family Life Center redesigned to two-story educational space, complete with fourteen classrooms, a half-gymnasium, four full bathrooms, and a large multi-purpose room.

Phase 2 - Construction of a two-story building that connects the current Troy Webb Family Life Center with the Main Building. This will be the new Main Entrance for Life Academy and Life After School and will provide new offices for Life Academy staff, as well as additional classrooms, labs, a brand new kitchen, and a spacious library.
